Hello! I’m Keaunna.
I'm a UX Researcher leading generative and evaluative research initiatives for government and industry partners.
Usability Testing and the Development of a Framework for Rapid Testing
Tactical user research on my team often took several months, with findings and recommendations received but not always acted upon. This led to stakeholders not finding value in research, while also losing out on valuable insights.
Collaborating with a fellow researcher, I conducted a 12-day usability study of the company’s flagship app, and used the results to develop an initial framework for rapid usability testing.
Project Management and User Testing for CDC.gov’s Digital Modernization
CDC.gov was comprised of several visually distinct microsites, causing confusion and frustration for users as they tried to find information within and across microsites. My team and I were responsible for rewriting content to better support users’ understanding of content main messaging, improve readability and scannability of each page, and update each microsite to use plain language.
To meet this goal, I developed the process for 5 technical writers, 4 plain language subject matter experts, and 2 content strategists to rewrite 150 pages in preparation for user testing, and was part of the 2-person UXR team that ran user and content testing across all pages.
